HEERF III Reporting

Funding has been allocated under the Higher Education Emergency Relief Fund III (HEERF III) from the American Rescue Plan (ARP) Act that was signed into law March 11, 2021. These funds have been provided by the federal government to directly support students facing urgent needs related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Montana State University Bozeman is currently reviewing options for disbursing block grants from the student share of the funds. Since the quarter ending September 30, 2021, the institution has allocated a portion of the student share to the Student Emergency Fund and has issued $40,300 to 81 students via that application.

Montana State University Bozeman received $14,567,454 from the U.S. Department of Education to support students. As of September 30, 2021, some funds have been distributed. This amount will be updated every fiscal quarter as prescribed by the Federal Department of Education.

The methods used to determine which and how much students receive in emergency grants will be updated as they are implemented and to meet reporting requirements. The next reporting timeframe will be end of January 2022 for the period ending December 31, 2021.
